IKG promotes the importance of enhancing the landscape in which we live.. Our understanding of the intricacies of woodland, hedgerow, water courses, grassland, allows us to specify and undertake enhancing works for a wide range of works.

We create gardens that delight at every layer. Created to enhance and work with their setting and owner. Spaces which work hard everyday, are practical and resilient. 

Meadows and flower-rich swards. Creation on all scales, a square metre to multiple acres. Appropriate ti the site and its uses. Often enhanced with 'garden perennials'  and bulbs which perform in long grass and provide connection between areas. The inclusion of bulbs and non-native flowers extend the floristic season for humans and pollinators. The joy of these spaces is allowing the setting to lead the design- long grass will always be different of acid clay to fine chalk land! ... we don't try force anything.

Our most precious resource. The management of water should be as natural as possible. By integrating the latest research, regulations, and taking lesson from the natural world we create site-specific solutions to make water part of the delight rather than something to be 'dealt with'.

We undertake bespoke floristry commissions and installations using hand grown and handmade flowers to bring the charm of garden flowers any occasion. 

Using the right materials for the site is fundamental to our work. It connects the house and garden as a cohesive entity, connecting them to the surrounding landscape. Local materials always sit comfortably and provide the right feel to a space. Often- underutilised, they're likely to be cheaper and have a much reduced impact on our World.
